Privacy Policy

Who we are

This policy covers cloudweld.ai and the services of Cloud Weld LLC ("CloudWeld", "we"), based in Chicago, Illinois. Ooky is a separate product we build, and it has its own privacy policy on ooky.ai.

What you send us through our forms

When you request a call, ask a question, download a resource or join our email list, we receive what you type into the form, such as your name, email address, phone number, company, role, website address and message. The form also records which page you sent it from and, if you chose a service or plan on the site, which one.

If marketing cookies are allowed, the form also sends the campaign details and ad click ID from the link that brought you here (for example utm_source or msclkid), so we can see which ad or website led to your inquiry.

Form submissions are delivered to HubSpot, our customer records system, together with the IP address the request came from. We use them to reply to you, prepare a proposal and keep a record of our conversation.

Spam protection on forms

Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a person, and not an automated script, is sending them. Turnstile runs in your browser when you use a form and passes a one-time token to our server, which checks it with Cloudflare.

Analytics and advertising

We use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to see which pages people visit and whether our forms work, and Microsoft Advertising to measure which ads bring inquiries. When analytics is allowed and you send a form, our server also tells Google Analytics that a form was sent and which kind of form it was, without your name, email address or message.

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, analytics and advertising stay off until you accept them in the cookie banner. From anywhere else they are on from your first visit, and you can turn them off at any time with Cookie settings in the footer. If we cannot tell where a visit comes from, they stay off. We tell where a visit comes from by the country Cloudflare reports for your connection, which we do not store. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to opt out and do not load them. Our Cookie Policy lists each cookie and how long it lasts.

Our free website tools

When you use the website check, the page reader or the llms.txt draft tool, our server fetches the public pages at the address you enter and shows you the results. We keep a record of which tool was used on which website (the domain only, such as example.com), whether it worked and a short summary of the result, for 12 months, so we can see how the tools are used. That record does not include your IP address or anything that identifies you. The address also stays in the report link and your browser history, and if you click through to book a call, it is filled into the booking form so we can discuss the findings with you.

Hosting and server logs

cloudweld.ai runs on Cloudflare. Like any web server, it handles your IP address and browser details to deliver each page, and our server keeps short-lived logs of errors, such as a form that failed to reach HubSpot, so we can fix problems.

Client work

When you hire us, we work in accounts you own and only with the access you give us. Any customer data we see while building or running your website and connections is used only to do that work, under the agreement we sign with you.

Why we use your information

We use the information above to answer your inquiry, deliver and support the work you hire us for, send the emails you asked for, protect our forms from abuse, and understand which pages and ads bring inquiries. Where privacy laws such as the GDPR apply, we rely on taking steps toward a contract with you, our legitimate interest in running and protecting the business, and your consent for analytics and advertising cookies.

Who processes it for us

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising beyond the measurement described above. These companies process it on our behalf:

We may also disclose information to professional advisors, or to authorities when the law requires it. These providers may process data in the United States and other countries.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiry and client records for as long as we are talking with you or working together, and afterwards for as long as we need them for legal, tax and accounting reasons. You can ask us to delete your records sooner, and we will unless the law requires us to keep them. Analytics data is kept according to the retention setting in our Google Analytics account.

Your choices and rights

You can unsubscribe from our emails with the link in any of them. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to access, correct, delete or move your personal information, to object to or limit how we use it, and to opt out of advertising measurement. To make a request, email us at the address below. We will not treat you differently for making one.

Children

Our website and services are for businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we update the date at the top of this page.
