Cookie Policy
Which cookies and similar storage CloudWeld uses on this website, what each one is for, and how to turn them off.
What we mean by cookies
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. This policy also covers similar browser storage (local storage and session storage), which we use in the same way.
Whether tracking is on before you choose
It depends on where you are. If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, analytics and marketing cookies stay off until you click Accept. From anywhere else, they are on from your first visit, and you can turn them off at any time. If we cannot tell where a visit comes from, they stay off.
We tell where a visit comes from by the country Cloudflare reports for your connection, which we do not store. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a no and never load them.
Essential
These are always on, because the site needs them to remember your cookie choice and protect our forms from spam.
- cookie-consent-v2 (local storage): your cookie choice, until you change it.
- cloudweld_consent, cloudweld_analytics and cloudweld_marketing (cookies, one year): the same choice, so our server can respect it when you send a form.
- cookie-consent-dismissed (session storage): hides the cookie banner for the rest of your visit after you close it.
- Cloudflare Turnstile: a spam check that runs when you use one of our forms.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to see which pages people visit and whether our forms work. When analytics is allowed and you send a form, our server also tells Google Analytics that a form was sent, without your name or email address.
- _ga and _ga_6FCT3T4709 (Google Analytics, up to two years): tell one visit from another.
- Campaign details such as utm_source (session storage, until you close the tab): which campaign or website brought you here, added to an inquiry you send.
Marketing
We use Microsoft Advertising to measure which ads bring inquiries. When marketing is allowed, the ad click ID from the link you followed is kept for your visit and sent with your inquiry, and Microsoft Advertising can count the inquiry as a conversion.
- _uetsid (one day), _uetvid (up to 13 months) and MUID (Microsoft Advertising): link an ad click to a later inquiry.
- Ad click IDs such as msclkid (session storage, until you close the tab): the ad you clicked, added to an inquiry you send.
How to change your choice
Use Cookie settings in the footer of any page to accept, reject or change analytics and marketing separately. Your browser settings can also block or delete cookies, and blocking essential storage means the site cannot remember your choice.
Other companies’ cookies
Google sets the Google Analytics cookies, Microsoft sets the Microsoft Advertising cookies, and Cloudflare runs the form spam check. Each company handles that data under its own privacy policy.
