What does it cost?
Retainers are scoped per team, not sold as fixed tiers. After a short call we agree a monthly figure and a clear scope for what we cover and how fast we respond, all written into the agreement. Month to month, cancel with 30 days notice.
Do we need a sprint first?
Usually, because a retainer on top of an unstable foundation just buys firefighting. If your system is already in decent shape, we start with a short paid assessment instead and go from there.
How fast do you respond when something breaks?
Your retainer includes a written response target, and out-of-hours incident cover if you need it. We would rather commit to real numbers in your agreement than promise "24/7" on a website.
Can you be our whole engineering team?
No. We cover platform, security, infrastructure, and review. Product features stay with you and your AI tools, or we scope feature work separately as fixed projects.
What does the monthly report look like?
Plain language, two pages: what shipped, what broke and why, what it all cost, and what we recommend next. Written for a founder, not for another engineer.
Do you replace our AI coding tools?
No. The retainer exists so you can keep using them aggressively. We make the workflow safe to rely on instead of arguing with it.
